Today marks the start of the Holiday season in our family (especially for Maggie... Maggie LOVES Halloween). We're up and at 'em bright and early this morning with a full day of business meetings, editing and emails, but tonight we're all about the fun Halloween brings. We're so excited Hurricane Sandy didn't spoil the fun for us and Trick or Treating can go on as scheduled. Maggie's neighborhood is known to be a great trick or treating spot, and kids get bused in from other towns. It's a big deal. We get together at her place, sit in the front yard next to the pumpkins and pass out ridiculous amounts of candy to the hundreds of kids who come through. Then we warm up with a double batch of homemade Shepherd's Pie and eat any candy that may be left over. Last year Sweet Cheeks was just a few months old and although he was in full costume (of course) he couldn't quite manage the trick or treating aspect of the festivities. This year however, we've been practicing ;) We're hoping he brings in quite a haul of treats for the adults... because all that candy will rot his teeth. We couldn't possibly allow him to eat it all!
Sweet Cheeks also got to pick out his own pumpkin this year! We got a few photos from that day and thought we'd share them with you.
Because he is his Mother's child... he couldn't decide. So we got them all ;)
He loved the straw maze!
Maggie also has a bit of an obsession with pumpkins and an even bigger obsession with carving them. Here are last year's (due to someone's Type A personality this year's aren't quite ready yet.)
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
